More than 110 years ago, the Ahrenberg already hosted guests on its premises to provide a break and refreshment for body and soul.
Since then, our Hotel Ahrenberg is telling its story once you pass the entrance to the hotel lobby: from its origin as a small outpost to the elegant country-style hotel it is today. Feel the warmth and charme of an enthusiastic team that is dedicated to the hotel and who will welcome you with warm hospitality.
Meet the different generations of your hosts: similar as in old times, when Grandma Stober was still baking the daily cakes, our kitchen team still caters to everybody’s needs and expectations.
Even more romantic is our location, right on the hills and woods of the ‚Brothers Grimm’ country, overlooking the Werra river valley and spa town of Bad Sooden-Allendorf. Whether you enjoy your break on our sunny terrace or in one of our restaurants, you will inhale the family and warmth everywhere. This is why some of our guests say ‚ returning to the Ahrenberg, is almost as coming home again’.
As we embrace our nature, we prefer using regional products for our kitchen and even more importantly, want to save natural ressources. Some years ago, we went into a collaboration with the National Forest and have direct access for deers from our woods. Additionally, the farmers in our region who have gave up farming are now growing a grass on their fields that is the natural source for our energy supply. Growing only a few miles around the hotel, we harvest the grass, process it and use it for our eneryg and heath supply – naturally clean energy.

So you can enjoy the inside for a formal party in a covered space and the outside terrace with open skies and wide views to ahve an informal BBQ or relaxing family reunion.
During winter, our banquet room is lit up beautifully in elegant moods, providing a room tp cpmfort your guests. For all your festivities, we hold decorations ranging from a country-style to smart modern ambiance, help with musical entertainment solutions, the individual menue with a wide selection of menues and weddings cakes up to the creation of menue cards. And last but not least, our broad selection of wines will allow you to choose your preferred winery.

Next to our hot sauna with 85 degrees, a steam bath with 56 degrees and 65% relative humidity including color therapy and an additional infrared cabin, we provide a tropical shower with fog, side-water-bars and aroma-oils for your relaxation.
